Mediation service

What is Mediation?

Mediation is a non-judgemental, confidential space which allows individuals to speak openly and honestly about concerns. The use of an external party creates trust and confidence in the process. A coaching and friendly approach help individuals to come to a mutual agreement on how to move forward.

Mediation is voluntary and those who enter into the process should be committed to finding a mutual solution.

When can it help?

When two people or more don’t get along in the workplace the impact on the wider team can be significant. It impacts work rate, moral, sickness and retention.

Offering an informal approach to allow those individuals to discuss their grievances in a safe space can help them understand one another and work together.

Mediation can also be used as an alternative to grievances, complaints and legal processes.

Pressure today

Conflict in the workplace is ever increasing and with many returning to the office after long periods of home working and juggling personal stresses, it is a stressful and overwhelming time.

To help reduce the impact and support people further, Laura has developed virtual and face to face courses on Conflict Management, these courses showcase some of the key skills of mediation which can be used before an external mediator is brought in and even get people ready to return to work as well as manage external conflict arising from face to face contact.
